his key is designed to help you read your Experian Consumer Credit Report, either online or on paper. Keep it handy when you view/download your report. This is the same credit report that credit grantors and lenders receive when they access your report from Experian.
You will notice some sequences of pound signs (e.g., ###-##-###) in various places on your report. These indicate an item that has been suppressed in order to protect your privacy. These items might include Social Security numbers, subscriber numbers, or account numbers, which is omited from consumer credit reports as a security precaution.

he information at the top of your report is the data that was supplied to Experian to access your credit file. Included is information such as your first name, middle initial, last name, current address, previous address (if applicable), and phone number.

his information is located below the Inquiry Information. The information includes data such as your first name, middle initial, last name, current address, previous address(es) (if applicable), year of birth, employer's name and address, previous employer's name and address, and any name variations that may have been reported by creditors about you, like different surnames, nicknames, or maiden names.

his section provides you with a summary of some of the key information on your credit report.
PUBLIC RECORDS. Shows the number of matters of public record (bankruptcies, liens, or civil actions) reported to Experian.
INSTALL BAL. Shows the total balance of all installment (fixed payment) type credit accounts.
R ESTATE BAL. Shows the total balance of all real estate type accounts.
REVOLVING BAL. Shows the total balance of all revolving (open credit line) type credit accounts.
PAST DUE AMT. Shows the total past due amount for all credit accounts.
SCH/EST PAY. Shows the total of all monthly payments listed on the report. If the scheduled monthly payment is not available, an estimated monthly payment is calculated by Experian.
R ESTATE PAY. Shows the total of all real estate payments listed on the report.
REVOLVING AVAIL. Shows the percentage of revolving credit that is available for use.
INQUIRIES. Shows the total number of times your credit report was accessed by creditors.
INQS/6 MO. Shows the number of inquiries within the last 6 months.
TRADELINE. Shows the total number of tradelines, or lines of credit, you have with different credit grantors and lenders.
PAID ACCT. Shows the number of accounts that have been paid in full.
CNT 00/00/00/00. Shows a complete history of the number of times any accounts have ever been reported past due (whether or not the late payments still appear in the 25-month payment history), in the following format: Number of accounts 30 days past due/60 days/90 days/greater than 90 days.
SATIS ACCTS. Shows the number of accounts that have been paid satisfactorily.
NOW DEL/DRG. Shows the number of accounts that are currently delinquent or derogatory.
WAS DEL/DRG. Shows the number of accounts that have previously been delinquent or derogatory.
OLD TRADE. Shows the earliest opening date of all credit accounts.

ublic record information includes any bankruptcies, liens, or civil actions that have been filed against you. Typical information in this section includes the reporting court's name and number, original filing date with court, status date if status is satisfied, released, vacated, discharged, or dismissed, amount of public record, type of public record, certificate or docket number, book and page number, plaintiff name, liability and asset amounts for bankruptcies only, and voluntary indicator for bankruptcies only.

rades list the lines of credit you have with different credit grantors and lenders who report their accounts payable to Experian. Each listing contains information about one specific account, and this information is provided to Experian by the credit grantor or lender (referred to as "subscriber" on the report). This section shows you that your credit report was accessed by a creditor, such as a bank, department store, employer, landlord, etc. Each inquiry may include some or all of the following information: creditor's name, date the report was accessed, type, terms, and possible amount of credit for which you have applied.
